2026 Nutcracker Absence Request
If your dancer is unable to attend a scheduled rehearsal, please submit an absence request as soon as the conflict is identified.
Each dancer is permitted up to three excused absences per season. However, absences are strictly prohibited during the first three setting rehearsals (which are mandatory) and during performance week at SUNY Purchase. All absence requests require prior written approval, and submitting a request form does not guarantee approval. A separate form must be submitted for each date your dancer will be absent.
Understudy roles follow the same rehearsal requirements as all other roles. If a rehearsal for a dancer’s main role conflicts with an understudy rehearsal, the main role takes precedence.
